MindWave Medical has completed a successful clinical trial in India, and built a economic case around the cost of hospital delirium.
MindWave was validated in a clinical trial in India, routing alarms directly to the right caregiver in real time in two ICUs.
Patient delirium is one of the most common and expensive ICU complications, and noise is a known contributor. By routing eligible alarms directly to the right caregiver instead of broadcasting them across the unit, MindWave helps reduce the alarm noise that contributes to delirium. Modeled on delirium-cost reduction alone, most facilities recover their investment in as little as 82 days.
MindWave is priced as a simple monthly subscription per bed. Facilities that adopt MindWave can expect to see a return exceeding 4x their subscription cost once delirium-related costs, alarm-fatigue-driven turnover, and faster response times are accounted for.
MindWave has also received FDA fast-track (STeP) designation, with market availability targeted within approximately two years.
